St. Louis have lost two games their first two preseason games, including a 21-7 loss to the Green Bay Packers its last time out.

Unlike their first preseason game with the Saints, the Rams had trouble putting points on the board against the Packers’ defense, managing just one red zone trip that resulted in their lone score, coming by way of a second-quarter touchdown pass from quarterback Sam Bradford to Lance Kendricks.

Bradford finished the game with 101 passing yards and nine completions on 12 passes.

Meanwhile, the running game was a mess, averaging less than three yards per carry. Running back Tre Mason led the way with 30 rushing yards for the Rams, who finished the game with just 216 yards.

Things weren’t any better defensively, for the Rams, who allowed 386 yards and a score in each quarter. The defense did however, produce three sacks, one of which came from Michael Sam.

The Browns in the meantime, dropped their second preseason game after getting edged out by the Wash-ington Redskins, 24-23.

But it wasn’t all that close to start the game, as Cleveland managed just three points through the first three quarters.

The defense however, kept the Browns in the game, and despite giving up 429 yards, forced four turnovers, including an interception returned for a touchdown by Jim Leonhard.

Behind center the quarterback battle between Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer continued, with neither one looking really great. Hoyer completed just two of six passes for 16 yards, while Manziel completed seven of 16 passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.

If not for the running game and a stellar performance from running back Ben Tate, who rushed for 51 yards on 10 carries, the end result would have been much worse for the Browns.

And while Tate looks poised for the regular season Hoyer and Manziel do not.

Overall, the Browns finished with their match up with Washington, with 286 yards and 20 fourth quarter points.
